Superset Data Visualization and Dashboard Consulting Engagement
A large financial services firm sought to transition away from an industry-leading BI solution in one of its core products, moving instead to an open-source system (Superset) to achieve significant reductions in licensing costs.
Deliverables
NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this analysis, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track the project.
Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture to meet the reporting requirements for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended adjustments to the data stores to maximize Superset's capabilities while ensuring optimal performance, providing guidance to the team implementing these changes.
After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying a variety of reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers.
To present the data as requested, custom plugins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation (such as drill-down features).
Outcome The consultants have been creating new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organization to maintain the dashboards and reports independently. The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the customer's business unit and their end clients. To highlight the success of the project, it has been expanded and extended to include more products and end clients.
