Superset Data Visualization and Dashboard Consulting Requirement
A prominent financial services organization sought to transition away from a leading commercial BI solution for one of its core products, opting instead for an Open Source platform (Superset) to significantly reduce licensing expenses.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged in several project meetings with the client to fully grasp the requirements, project scope, potential risks, and the technical landscape. This understanding enabled us to draft a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project’s progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs of various report types. They recommended optimizations to the data stores to maximize Superset’s capabilities while ensuring peak performance, and provided direct guidance to the team implementing these adjustments. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began developing and deploying a range of reports based on existing specifications and new requests from the business and customers. To meet specific presentation requirements, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data displays, such as drill-down functionalities.
Outcome The consultants have been constructing new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the client organization to maintain these dashboards and reports independently. The project is currently ongoing and has received strong positive feedback from both the client’s business stakeholders and their end-users. Reflecting this success, the initiative has been expanded to cover additional products and end-user segments.
