Kanban serves as a methodology for managing workflow.

This live, instructor-led training (available online or onsite) caters to both novice and experienced participants. The tools and insights gained from this session can be immediately integrated into daily operations to enhance workflow efficiency.

Upon completion of the training, participants will be capable of:

• Boosting the volume of work items completed within a given timeframe.
• Decreasing the duration needed to finish work items.
• Enhancing predictability in work delivery (offering more accurate responses to "When will it be done?").
• Monitoring flow metrics (throughput, lead time, work in progress, and item age).
• Applying flow charts (Cumulative Flow Diagram, Lead Time Histogram, Work Aging Chart).
• Leveraging statistical forecasting techniques, including Monte Carlo simulations and Service Level Agreements.
• Methodically designing a Kanban System using STATIK.
• Grasping Little's Law, which elucidates the principles of value flow.

This two-day program is tailored to support teams within an Agile Release Train (ART) in operating efficiently within an Agile context by leveraging frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and XP. Participants will gain insights into functioning as part of an Agile Team, managing backlogs, and successfully planning and executing iterations. The course also highlights the importance of understanding the team’s role within the ART and fostering collaboration, planning, execution, and continuous improvement alongside other teams.

Additionally, this training prepares teams to take part in a Program Increment (PI), addressing both Team-level and Program-level activities, with a special focus on upcoming PI planning sessions. Upon completion, participants will be well-prepared for the certification exam to earn their SAFe® Practitioner (SP) credential.

• Comprehend their team’s role within the Agile Release Train and its contribution to overall objectives.
